Iron condor (8)

A defined-risk, range-bound trade that sells an out-of-the-money put spread and call spread on the same expiry. It earns the credit if the underlying stays inside the short strikes, and it loses at most the width of a spread minus the credit.

The wheel (3)

A loop of selling cash-secured puts, taking assignment if it happens, then selling covered calls against the shares until they are called away. Income comes from premium, while the risk is owning shares through a drawdown.

0DTE (6)

Options that expire the same day. Moves are fast, gamma is high, and automation errors are expensive, so risk limits and kill switches matter more here than anywhere else.

Credit spreads (5)

A defined-risk position that sells one option and buys a further out-of-the-money option on the same side, collecting a net credit. Maximum loss is the strike width minus the credit.

Covered calls (1)

Selling call options against shares you already own, trading upside above the strike for premium.

Calendar spreads (2)

Selling a near-dated option and buying a longer-dated option at the same strike. Often used around events where implied volatility is expected to fall.

Earnings plays (2)

Trades built around a company earnings date, such as volatility crush or calendar structures. Gaps can exceed what any model expects.

Volatility harvesting (1)

Systematic strategies that try to be paid for the gap between implied and realized volatility.

Scalping (1)

Short holding periods and many small trades. Fees, slippage and fast loss limits dominate the outcome.

Multi-strategy (2)

Bots that run several different strategies in one framework.
