Policy
Not financial advice
Not advice. OptionsBot Index is an educational directory of open-source software. It is not investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or trade any security, or to run any bot. Options trading involves substantial risk of loss, including loss greater than your initial investment. Automated trading adds software risk: bugs, API outages, runaway orders. If you run any bot, start in paper mode, set hard loss limits, and never give a bot access to money you cannot afford to lose.
What a grade means
A grade summarizes public repository hygiene on the date shown: license, recent maintenance, tests, paper or dry-run mode, documented risk limits or kill switch, documentation, and clear broker support. A grade is not a measure of profitability, safety, security or suitability. A high grade does not mean a bot is safe or will make money. A low grade does not mean it is bad. We do not run, test or audit the code, we do not show returns, and we may be wrong because scoring is automated.
Sponsor independence
- Sponsors and advertisers pay a flat fee for a clearly labeled placement. They cannot influence any grade, ranking, inclusion, removal or wording of any listing.
- The scoring code and rubric are public on GitHub. Sponsor data lives in a separate file the scorer never reads.
- We use no affiliate links, referral codes or per-signup payments, and we do not get paid when you open a brokerage account.
- Sponsored placements are labeled "Sponsor" and appear in separate slots, never inside the graded list.
- If a sponsor's own project is listed, it is graded by the same rubric as every other repo, and we say so on its page.
- Maintainers can request a correction or removal by opening an issue. We respond within 7 days and publish all changes in the repo history.
- We will end any sponsorship that asks for a grade change and say so publicly.
Corrections and removal
Open a public GitHub issue: report a correction or request removal. See how it works.
Data we collect
This site is static and has no analytics or trackers today. If that changes, this page will say so first. The repo data we show comes from public GitHub repositories.
